Our kitchen team consists of Steve our long-standing chef who has come on leaps and bounds mainly self-taught and is a great asset to our kitchen. Del (Carly & Graeme’s son) worked in the kitchen when he was just 15yrs of age for 2 years before venturing out and working at other places, settling mainly in the balmoral hotel Edinburgh where he worked for 4 years ending up in the number one restaurant. He has just come back with us and settled in nicely, bringing in what he’s learned and new ideas!

Where possible we source local produce. Fresh, locally sourced produce is healthier & gives our cuisine a distinctive character. Our meat is supplied locally. Our delicious potatoes are supplied by nearby East Saltoun. Our fish is supplied by Atlantic Fish Musselburgh. At the weekend we offer an ever-changing selection of seasonal specials.

Our restaurant has room to accommodate large group parties or small gatherings. We have a clean & modern bar area where you can enjoy a drink or even a meal with a laid-back relaxed atmosphere & wood burning stove. We also provide an extensive range of coffees. To complete the juniperlea inn experience we also provide afternoon teas (24hrs notice required)
